As the goal of FireNet is to include our State/Local Affiliate partners in usage of FireNet's collaborative environment, we will have requests for Affiliate FireNet Accounts. Below is a check list to follow when acting as a Federal Sponsor:
Please confirm that the Affiliate you are sponsoring has completed the FireNet Account and Rules of Behavior request form.
Account requests must come from a Federal Sponsor and federal government e-mail address. This person can be a manager/supervisor/IMT member/ITSS/Dispatch Coordinator/designated person. The e-mail should be sent to firenet.accounts@firenet.gov. Please include the following in the request:
• Individual copy of the security certificate that the candidate e-mailed to the sponsor.
• A brief description of the business need for provisioning the account.
• The candidate's name in the subject line.
Example description of business need for Named Accounts
The bona fide mission/business need for {insert the name of the person you are sponsoring} requiring the account is {insert reason here/name of team, position on team/dispatch center}. I anticipate needing it until such member is no longer part of the {insert group here} group.
Requesting multiple accounts
If the manager/supervisor has multiple account requests to submit, a list of affiliate names and e-mail addresses can be submitted in one e-mail following the format above. Certificates will then be forwarded to FireNet_Admin@firenet.gov as they come in to the manager.
